On chromatic harps, there is a such thing as Irish tuning, which means that normally, when the slide is pressed in, the note that gets played is 1/2 step sharp, but with the Irish tuning it's the exact opposite, so it's essentially like if you were playing with the slide pressed in on a normally tuned chromatic and then letting the slide out. Those are fun tunings for different kinds of stuff other than blues.
