Hi everybody!

I have been thinking about amplifying my little Pignose 7 100 to be able to play anywhere without depending on anybody and I have thought that I could connect the output from my amp to the input of an active speaker, loud enough to be heard. I think that this is a fairly economic option which I could bring anywhere. My answer is: has somebody done this? Any problem could appear?

Today I have tried to connect my Pignose 7 100 with a Greenbullet to a 30W active speaker and I haven't had any problem.

Thanks.

Active speakers are really looking for line level inputs. Shouldn't hurt anything as long as you keep the volume on the Pignose way down.

Actually, Pignose features a line-level output so I don't think there's anything to worry about.

I've often thought about taking an ART Tube MP, running one of my mics into it, and then into one of my bandleader's JBL Eons. The MP is line value with a phantom switch, so it'd work with pretty much any active speaker or amplifier. Heck I may get one to use with my Alamo. After looking at the circuitry inside, I'm pretty sure the first preamp section is actually solid state, and then the AX7 drives the 7868's in push-pull.

Yes, using the Pignose as a preamp. I have tried it today, I will upload some sound to show the result.

Those MP seem interesting.
