I built me a new stomp box that other one ,was to small,I used 2cigar boxes fastened together cut a large hole in the botton of one added a piozo, then I put a rubber band around my boot and stuck 2 small egg marocos rattles,on the tip of my toe.Im likeing it better than the suitcase drum setup cause it will be easyier to carry but big enough I feel comfortable tapping, compared to that little one I made,

I also tried some slide in standard tuning,Ive never done that befor tonight ,Imight have to mess arround with it,But this is done in one take live,It still has some work to be done to tighten it up.some.But what the hell;-)

thanks.
It lags in spots,Im trying to tighten it up some,And only having 20 seconds to loop It seems like Im in the 1-4 chords a bit longer than I would like ,it does allow some room to lead ,But sometimes I feel it stays in those 2 chords awhile,I wish the rp155 had about 20 more seconds I would loop a turnaround, as it is I have to click off the pedal to add the turnaround.

Im wanting to try some busking here soon Ive worked up a couple sets of stuff,I got some CD's burned,I got me a folding table,And ive made a few cbg's (to sell while busking)

So Im wanting to do some here shortly,I have never tried it ,need to,But theres nobody around here that does it,I got a flea market down the road I know the owners,So im thinking about setting up soon.I firgure if Im selling stuff It wont look to weird,Although I know its loose you think I could do busking with my stuff? Its more of something I need to do,Not to make money but I wana try it.

im trying to firgure out go acoustic, cause I need eletricity ,which means I cant hook up my pedal it dont run off batteries .I wish they did,or try and get a inverter battery setup.

Also been working with a resonator guitar I just got and there louder than a regular acoustic,But I set it up with a slightly higher action for slide and only use it for open tunings,I only a have a few songs that i play as of now in open D,If im selling Cbg's Im might ought to have one there playing also;-) i do have a honey tone amp,But a inverter would really help alot,

whats your setup?

I'd say you'd sound very cool busking with your set-up. I'd throw you a few dollars myself if I heard you on the street. I think you would definitely have fun. Acoustic is difficult unless you're in a tunnel or indoors where the sound will carry a bit further. I've tried acoustic outdoors a couple of times but it is really hard. I just play harp and sing, when I'm by myself. Started out using backing tracks but decided to try without as it would help my timing etc.
When I play amplified by myself I have my big Roland 330 BA amp, SM58 vocal mic and Blows Me Away mic and a Lone Wolf tone plus harp pedal. The amp runs off AA batteries so it cna go anywhere. I have a little Pignose but it's not good for singing so I don't use it much anymore.
I have done this at the back of a farmer's market a few times. They told me they didn't allow amps but I keep it to a tolerable level and they haven't shut me down recently. The worst thing that can happen is they ask me to move along.
I am usually with a guitarist which makes things easier.
The resonator looks and sounds cool, so that might be the way to go. You cna recycle your songs or just noodle. You don't need a concert repertoire. My first busking partner and I basically noodled for six months.
The first time I went busking I was hell nervous but nothing bad happened. I always encourage people to do it becasue it's oen of the highlights of my week. I've me a lot of peopel and had a lot of fun doing it, improved my chops and earned some harp-buying money. Now I'm addicted. So go for it, I say!

It's interesting. The edgy, brittle tone of the guitar reminds me a little of RL Burnside, although the chords you're playing and the strumming pattern are entirely different from him. I wish the rhythm (feet) came in earlier. As for the harp: the guitar chords sound minor-ish, but you're using a major harp, played cross harp. That sounds a little off to me. I think this song needs third position--although it you play that, you'll need either to tongue block or to play single notes.

But it's a good experiment.

thanks BronzeWailer for the info.

I allmost bought a streetcube ,when i was getting my amp ended up getting a super champ xd ,which I love and a small PA,

Sometimes I wonder for busking If I should of got the street cube as its battery powered,But then i got to reading about inverters,So ive thought About using one.

My PA is just 4 channels and only 60 watts, and my amp is 15 watt tube that with a rp155 pedal I wonder how much batteries it would take,I know they recomend deep cycle batteries and those are exspensive. And I wonder if a medium price inverter would work, some of those inverters are high dollar,I might be able to swing a medium priced one,I heard the cheap ones might not run everything.I dont know.

you got me wondering what the chords are Adam,Ive looked them up befor,But still not positive on it,

Its the Key of A and the D and the E are im allmost certain is 9th chords,I looked them upon a chord chart,The A though I havent found anywhere Im not sure what chord it is,Its like a A 9th chord but i only use 2 fingers basically barring the 5th frett all the strings except the A string I leave open(E5 A0 D5 G5 B5 E5) .And im not sure what that would make it,Minor or major ,I dont have enough therory ;-)But ive tried to firgure out what kind of A chord it is for awhile on charts and i havent found out for sure.

Update I dont have the A string open its muted just went back over it and noticed ;-)

Hobostubs,

You gotta just get out and do it. You will be so happy you did.

The street cube is a great setup for me, but you only have 2 channels, so for me it is guitar and a mIc. With only 6aa batteries though, it is plenty loud. I just throw the amp and my stuff in a rolling cooler (has a telescoping handle like rolling luggage) and I'm off.
It is very quick to setup and break down.

Thanks KingoBad yea i wish i had some gas money, the weather has been great,And the flea market im wanting to try ,Is run by the mom of a drummer friend ive jammed with quite a bit,So i think Im going to give it a try as soon as I scrap up some gas.

Yea there having a equipment trade in thing at guitar center comming up soon If I didnt love my super champ so much ,I be willing to trade some stuff in to get the cube,i want one bad, But i love the super champ amp best guitar amp ive ever had.

I just wish it would run on batteries ;-)

But the cube has 2 channels and and it runs on batteries thats cool how loud are they,The reason I ask is I heard there loud, but when I checked them out at the store it seemed like it didnt have alot of watts,But again ive heard there loud

A small inverter - even 150 watts(?), maybe 300 watts - would run everything you have, and they can be had for pretty cheap ($25 or so). Then of course you need a battery to run off. The smallest way to go there, I'd think, would be a 12 volt motorcycle battery. I think you could also get a cheap one, maybe online, for about $35. Then you'd need a way to recharge the battery, maybe a Battery Tender Junior, another $30 maybe.
One potential problem with the inverter is that, if it's not a true sine wave one, it just probably will cause some buzzing, which may or may not be any problem what with the volume of the music. A true sine wave inverter, even a small one, will cost more.
I'm hearing the same minor guitar, needing a minor harp sound, that Adam is hearing, btw.
Sounds like you almost "there". As others are saying, just go for it.

thanks Harper, yea i guess i need to get a inverter ,I have a new car battery here that aint being used and a charger,But i read that there not good for repeted charging compared to a deep cycle (which I cant afford)I was wondering if I could use the car battery for a few times

That's right, they're not made for deep cycling, but I would think you wouldn't be discharging that car battery all that much anyway. I live off grid, and back in the day, it wasn't uncommon to run a tv and some lights off a car battery at night, and charge it up the next day driving the car. Seemed to work alright without ruining that battery. If you don't discharge it too much - as in down to 60% or so, which I doubt you'd do - and charge it up full again, I'd think you'd be fine.

I googled guitar chord calculator and came up with something that has alot of ways to find chords And I found one that is allmost the same as the one Im doing .called Am 9th ,except they have the high E string fretted a step up 7th frett .E5 A muted D5 G5 B5 E 7 ,So it looks to be in A minor,

So you'd play a G harp in third position.
