I passed 4,000 songs on my soundclick site. These are just a fraction of the songs I record/have archived since beginning my recording studio oddesy. 4,000 songs sound like nothing to me- more like 10 or so. I was listening to NPR this morning and the program was on how the brain works with creativety/musicians. I noted the names of the people being interviewed and emailed them about how I do music/life. I would be curious to see if my brain functions different. I hope they use me. Walter

Hey Mr. Tore, big CONGRATULATIONS!!! on the 4000 mark. That's 4000 good ones. And thanks for it.
I was hearing on the radio the other day that one of my favorite tunes was composed as an improv conceived on the spot. Professor Longhair (or so the story goes) showed up at a recording session completely unprepared and just started playing "Tipitina" right off the top of his head. What great music he could make, him and James Booker too.
I've enjoyed listening to your music tonight. Hope I get a chance to see you performing the sponto out there someday.

Chickenthief: Thanks and my wife often wonders what the heck is going on in my brain :-) 32 years together we are and she still says I am a nut. In conversing with Dr. Limb I shared the idea of how I tap into another universe that is just lying out there. It is wealth of creative journies if one is willing to step into it. I hope we get to meet someday. I am not budging from my studio unless the playing oppoortunity is right. I feel it is on the horizon. Kind of a waiting to be discovered feeling. We shall see!

Sometimes life says that you'll only be recognized when your dead n gawn. Many artists are only famous when they start pushing up daisy's, in my case i'll be famous as the only harp player to have his ashes and harps fired into the universe by some kind new age funeral company out there. Shoot for the moon, and if it misses i'll be up there with the stars.

Hi Stan: Most people react to different like one does to a mosquito on your arm- a knee jerk/no thought- SMACK. This use to confuse me to no end until I thought of it this way. Now it makes total sense and I am at peace. The important thing is to be doing what is truly inside. This simple thing becomes a huge no can do in our society. On the harp side one has to play the riffs everyone else does or they will be deemed no good not only by the masses of experts but also by themself. We are programed as a species to fit in and it is hard to let that go in todays world even though we have evolved past the primative need to all fit together for basic survival. In my case I threaten the entire music structure. There is no need for songwriters, producers, engineers, studio musicians, record labels, publicity agents to spew how creative you are, no more rehearsing/arranging/songlists, people won't know what to expect at a performance(you might sing about their inner fears, and the list goes on and on. I see this as totally irrationale but when one is threatened it takes on warped perspectives....... I feel so lucky to have found what is in me. Walter
