How many of you know each and every harp to use in say, 4 different positions including the sharps and flats?
I'm asking because I only know the straight keys by heart. I've just printed out all diatonic harps so maybe I'll learn them.

Mmm, I don't know how quickly I could play those scales but I reckon i could do it without a reference chart. Maybe as fluently as I read music script. You'd see the wheels turning. I'm pretty good with 3, but I'd have to count for Fourth I think. Which is slack because its just the relative minor of the first position. So what's that, 3 half steps below the 1st position key. 3rd is easy, just 2 half steps above 1st. And second should be pretty familiar

Don't need no steenkeeng charts. It's all on the Circle of Fifths.

If you memorize the Circle and can just picture it in your mind, you can determine which harp is needed to play in any position in any key.

No way, Leatherlips.

You don't even need the circle; just remember 1st use the key, 2nd use the 4th of the key, 3rd use the minor seventh, 4th use the minor third, 5th use the minor sixth, 12th use the fifth.
