Can someone remind me of how to wire the XLR end of a blues blaster cable... my lead died and and I chopped the XLR off- now can't find my original diagram as to how to rearrange the wires- Doh!

They are usually pin 3 hot - centre/tip wire from the 1/4" jack connects to pin 3 (numbered) in the XLR connector. Outer shielding goes to pin 1, jumper pin 1 & 2 together, if you have a mic cable with a shield & 2 conductor wires, run the unused wire to pin 2. I recommend using a dedicated instrument/guitar cable as "XLR microphone" cables, designed for Lo-Z PA style mics, inherently have much greater self capacitance.

Be sure that it is an "Astatic JT30/Hohner Bluesblaster", some JT30s sold under the "CAD" brand name were 2 pin hot.
