Yeh i never seem to practice anymore! It always seems to sound better when i play it compared to the recording.

You gotta find rhythm in your playing. There is no groove here. Find the pocket and play out of it. The song screams for some swing. You've got the notes, now make it groove.
@kingobad, i take your point i have many years experience of playing with bands and getting into the groove but no experience of solo !!grooving!! a weakness i will work on, thanks for the input.
Just too add this was recorded sat at my dinner table with the 1 watt amp 12 inches away from the built in lap top mic!!! (not an excuse)

Hmm strange how diferent people see/hear things only got 2 comments one said more practice lots of guts and feeling!! and the other said youve got the notes but need to feel the groove!! go figure:-)
i expected questions on the little amp and the mic.
Fingers , I liked the sound /tone you got from the mic amp combo...nice. Re the other comments on rhythm & groove perhaps some use of a backing track or metronome would help. ---------- HARPOLDIEāS YOUTUBE
Hi Fingers,I give you credit for posting, the mini twin it is a nice small practise tool but as others have said, timing is very important as I,m sure you will get as time goes by via practising.I would suggest for working on that you should play along with jam trax to help you with that.Every thing takes time so just keep at it Bro.
Hey thanks guys!! i know some people get the hump at negative coments! but i have listened to yours and realise i have only played in bands and have no expirence of solo playing!! and now realise i have been spoilt by good drumers and bass players keeping time, strange thing is i can step in with any band and improvise very well. Oh and the 4 year break from playing has'nt helped!! thanks again .......to the woodshed i go.

two hopefully helpful observations; you slide your way down the harp more fluidly than up the harp -low to high. also i think youre taking an extra 2draw inhale after the turnaround which doesnt belong. ... good for you for posting and working on the work song! ---------- ~Banned in Boston!

@Barry C, ha ha you are right the blues scale type run down from 6 blow is ingrained in my playing, i got the extra 2 draw from tabs on the net! but on listening to the Butterfield version i am not sure it is there, thanks for the comments, I have a gig saturday week first one in 4 years so we will see what happens lol, oh and i have 3 likes on U tube so cant all be bad :-)
