Does anyone know any specifics about this microphone on the Bushman website? Seems like a good price if it has a decent element.

This has been covered in a couple different threads...one fairly recently.

The mic is made by JTS, which should be very obvious to anyone familiar with JTS's other mic from the colour and design. It is listed on JTS's site with no mention of Bushman or any other harmonica company.

Am I alone in being bothered that John Hall appears to be encouraging the mistaken belief that this is a Bushman mic?

in my book, failing to correct others' incorrect assumptions is as bad as lying.

Absolutely - after all there's the Bluesblaster/JT30

I'm just suspicious - no mention of JTS, but at the same time no claims to be the manufacturer. I doubt any agreement exists, because he's not actually rebadging it, just selling it - he is nothing more than a distributor.

It's the fact that he didn't correct any of the posters who congratulated him on "Bushman [being] in the mic business." or acknowledge the manufacturer of the mic on his site.

All might be a moot point. You might be lucky to get it if you order it.

Not to badmouth where it doesn't belong, but this kettle is black.

I don't know if it was the best pork tenderloin in the country, but I had one and it was damn good and big too.

I don't hate Bushman and I really don't care what people on the Bushman forum think. I do think people have a right to know facts. I'm sure if I met John he'd come over as a really nice guy. I don't believe much about his claims for manufacturing Delta Frosts though and I think the evidence is pretty conclusively stacked against him. People have congratulated him on 'his' mic design and he has failed to correct them. That's a fact. What conclusion you draw is up to you. I've stated what I think - I think it's dishonest.

Given John Hall's past record it'd be good if people knew they could get this mic elsewhere 'because it isn't a Bushman product nor is it exclusive to Bushman.

My last word in this thread. Flame away Eric if it makes you feel better.

just responding shows you care.
too funny, mr.

quoting from john's post- "We now carry a dependable harmonica mic for $69.95. "
he never, as far as i could tell from his quick post, makes any claim to inventing, building, designing, or choosing the color.

Rick - the Bushman bashers persist because many are upset customers. John Hall made promises to ship product immediately. He didn't live up to his part of the bargain. When people are upset, they tend to be vocal about it. I don't think it is that hard to understand. There have been plenty of threads about Brad Harrison and his company.
