I just bought a used Electar Tube 10 amp off Craigs list. It is a tube amp and it sounds ok to me, it has a clean rather that gritty tone and I dont get much feedback even at full volume. Of course at 10 watts full volume is not very loud. It is much better than my Fender Frontman 15G that I would not take out in public.

It is made in Korea for the Korean market by a division of Gibson. Has anyone heard of this amp?

I used to have one, stil got the speaker in my champ.

It's an easy amp to get on with.

What mic are you using? With the Volume up to 3 o'clock, I'd generally have to keep the gain around 9 o'clock or less.

Stick to sturdy power tubes like the Sovtek 5881/JJ6L6, theseamps run their power tube at high idle dissipation ~28W.

I still have one - I use it at home and when I play with just a guitarist. Not much use in a big band setting though; even going through PA it's not really loud enough for monitoring.

It is a very nice little amp though, nice looking with the big silver e on the front and a very solid construction. Sound is perfectly useable.

Thanks for the info on the amp. It did seem easy to set up and get reasonable tone out of. I am using it with a Shaker mike. I can't remember right now if it is a crystal or a dynamic.

I played at a jam with it yesterday, miking it through the PA, and the comments I got were that I sounded good but was not loud enough.

Unfortunately it is missing the big silver E. I was thinking of creating a grill badge and either cutting it out of wood with a scrool saw or prionting it out on a 3D printer from CAD.
