I have been accumulating Pre-War Marine Bands and Old Standbys for the past year or so with the intention of customizing and re-selling them. I'm happy to say that I am ready to go. Many of the Pre-Wars that have come my way are in absolutely mint condition so I haven't touched these. They would be great for any collector who is looking for a pearl to add to their collection, or anyone who would like to know what it is like to play on the same harp that some of the greats from years gone by played on. I have taken a modular approach to rebuilding the rest. They have all been identically drilled and tapped and are ready to have any of my CNC Milled combs installed. So whereas most of the time when you see a custom pre-war available you have to take it as is, in this case, you can order the key and the comb of your preference and as you can see from the pictures, I can customize the shape of the comb for you. Prices will range from $100 to $150 depending upon the key and the comb material. If you are interested, let me know. It is a volume control. At its lowest setting it does reduce the output to zero. There is not a click off like on the Bottle'O'Blues. Hope that helps.

I have 15 Full Custom HarveyHarp Marine Bands that I have already built, and I will sell them for $75, including U.S. postage as a Christmas present to Modern Blues Harmonica forum members. I do not have any experience at intenational shipping, so I have no clue how much that will add to the cost, if you are not in the U.S. I just need to do the final tuning, adjusting, and cleanup and ship them out. I am impressed and inspired by MP's endless stream of positive feedback regarding his Harmonica Tune Up and Reed Repair. However, it is US ONLY.
I've decided to fill the gap. I've been doing this locally for a little while now...
Diatonic Harmonica service and repair in Canada:
$15 per harmonica.
Harp service includes:
- Cleaning.
- Making the comb and reedplates more airtight.
- Making the reed slots more efficient.
- Opening up the coverplates in the back of the harp for increased volume.
- Centering and adjusting the reeds' shape and offset for optimum performance to your playing style.
- Tuning adjustment.
- Reed replacement: One reed replacement per harmonica is included in the price if you send me 4 or more harps OR if you are a new customer. $10 per additional reed replacement.
FREE! If you send me Marine Band harmonicas, you will get back fully restored harps with the nails replaced with screws and the comb flat-sanded and fully sealed - along with all the other work mentioned above.
Lead time is about ten days for harp service. If you want tuning that is better than just a touch up, lead time is a minimum of 30 days (no extra charges!) Obsessive, perfect, right-on-target tuning - 90 days or longer (same tuning precision as custom harps. $5 extra per harp due to unpredictability of used harmonicas)
Free! 2-for-1 deal. Give me two dead harps with blown reeds and I will restore one of them at no cost. I get to keep the other for parts. Contact me for availability.

You know what this is: Boss DM-2. The best sounding analog delay pedal ever made. They sold from 1981 to 1984, and today they fetch around $350 on eBay. Very highly coveted by blues guitarists and harp players. A pro harp buddy of mine has one for sale, and I know he's asking less that that. Let me know if you are interested.

YIKES! My computer went out! Need to recycle some gear to replace. Selling my Kendrick Rough Neck low watt amp. This one is similar to a Champ w/Kendrick 10" black frame speaker. Mint condition. One owner, me; roughly 8 years old but BARELY USED -- MINT, really; stored in bubble wrap in a drawer; original box if you want.
Especially for this price, I think this is a good starter if you want to play a bullet microphone -- as you get your chops, and start making the big bucks, you may want to spend more for (a dozen or two) vintage microphones.
PRICE DROP TO $150 (cleaning house).
Vintage Shure 545 (Hi-Z) Greg H. modded to have a volume control and a 1/4 inch female.
$185 (includes shipping to US 48) -- NOW $150.
This was before Greg offered his Ultimate Series. You can see a picture on his website on the repairs and mods page -- scroll down to the 545 -- the one pictured has a screw on connector, otherwise, it looks just like the one I'm selling.

You probably know of this microphone's reputation (especially the vintage ones: Butterfield) and Greg's reputation. If you were to look really hard at it, you would see it is not "brand spankin" new, but it is in great shape.
(I'm only selling it because I later sent Greg another Vintage 545 that he did "ultimize" -- no need for both! The Ultimates are shorter and red!)
Greg's Ultimate 545 is $229 + $35 for vintage element and transformer for a total of $264 - I'm pretty sure I'm reading his site correctly on that.

If you have in a drawer some SP20'S with broken reeds and rusted reedplates , if the combs and covers are good enough , don't throw them to the garbage can .

I have a couple bags of SP20 combs and covers-- probably 30 sets or so. Fewer number of reedplates. These are all taken apart, so let me know if you need screws also. Please email me.
