Tonight is the 2nd Annual Harmonica Blues Review at Big Al's Deck Bar here in New Orleans. The show starts at 8:00 and features Andy J. Forest, J. Monque' D, Scott Albert Johnson, Todd Greene, and many more.

Also, this weekend is the Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival, which starts today, and goes through Sunday.

Both Shows are free, so if you ever thought about coming to party in New Orleans, this is the weekend.

Shane-you were at the first annual one-so, you NEED to be at tonight's show-the second annual. Leave around noon, hop on I-10 and I'll be lookin' for ya. ;-) This time around we're on the East Bank.

I'm psyched. I'll be the emcee and also performing. This is a guaranteed good time for anyone that loves blues and/or harmonica. Hopefully we will have some vids(ahem, Harvey? Pack your Zoom Q3HD!)afterwards.

Todd, my camera is already packeed, and if you do your great job as usual, I can sit back and record it all.

Shane, you really do have to be here, since you played last year it is required (LOL) Stop by and pick up Terry Rogers in Houston and bring him too. I am assuming that you have met Terry. He is whith Terry and the Blue Birds.

You guys have too much fun.

Say, BP is funding a tourism commercial promoting the beaches of Fla., Bamma, Miss., and La. Do you know who the harp player is? Is he one of the NOLA gang?

Mike, 5 hour drive, man...Get on with it!
I listened to one of those commercials(nicely done, btw)and the only local player who that might be whose style is close to that is Smoky Greenwell...or me, and I know it isn't me.

Thanks, Harvey! Oh yeah, we gotta post some pics of us in our snazzy new CCHC shirts...some of our honorary remote members might want one.

Dang, i have to go the other way on a I-10 or my wife will kill me!

I have gotten to meet and hang with Terry Rogers on numerous occasions. Great player and singer!

He was at church (The Big Easy Social Club) just this past Wednesday, Laura Chavez crashed the place and he played some numbers with her and then Steve Schneider covered harp for the rest of the night.

Steve Schneider or HTown Fess, as he is call elsewhere, is a great guy, an English professor, harp customizer, an amp tech, and a great playaer. I will have to come to Houston pretty soon to see all of you.

Terry has become a good friend, too.

Yes, I cannot say enough great things about Steve Schneider. I met him at Adam's workshop with Sonny Boy Terry on a visit to Houston.

A little later when I came to Houston to work, Steve pretty much laid out the whole Houston Blues scene to me, helped me with my amp settings numerous times, turned me on to an inline switch for my mic.

He is a wonderful player with a big round full sound with a harmonic edge, and a wealth of knowledge of the history and musical heritage of Houston and Texas.

He's also really sharp with electronics!

Definitely come out, I'm kind of sad because I'm leaving this scene for a while to work in Dallas, but I'm already lining up prospects back in Houston for the future!

Maybe I can create something in NOLA as well! I know y'all have it kicking! If I had the space to be there I would do it in a heartbeat!

Well, the show went off great. Scott Albert Johnson came down from Mississippi, and tore it up. Andy J Forest was stellar, Todd Greene was magnificant. Everyone rose to the occasion, and I taped it all. I will be posting videos as soon as I recuperate
