Chuck, Nat, and Jerry: Greenwich Village, 1985

This photo shows Chuck Hancock (sax, L), Nat Riddles (harp, center), and Jerry Dugger (facing camera, head down, center), after they've just finished their set at the First Annual Village Voice Street Entertainers Festival on Labor Day weekend 1985. Nat had been playing the streets that summer with his El Cafe Street combo and pretty much ruled them; I'd been following him around. As I recall, El Cafe Street was nosed out by Homeboy Steve (Antonakis) and the Mudcats, another act that had been working the Village that summer.
